PHUKET / KOH YAO
Allamanda Laguna Phuket: NOT affected
Amanpuri: still operational, flooding destroyed the gym
Andaman Beach Suites: NOT affected
Andaman Cannacia Phuket: NOT affected
Andaman Seaview: still operational
Andaman White Beach: open, minor damage, fully operational, not seriously damaged, just resort’s dive centre
Aquamarine Resort & Villa Phuket: NOT affected
Baan Yin Dee Boutique Resort: NOT affected
Banyan Tree Beach: no damage, open
By the Sea Residence Panwa: will open on 15 January
Cape Panwa: NOT affected
Central Karon Village: open, NOT affected
Central Waterfront Suites: NOT affected
Chedi Phuket: open. The 16 Beach Cottages and 3 of the Deluxe Cottages as well as the Beach Restaurant have been damaged. Renovation will take place from April to October. All other services are back in normal operation, only the Katamaran will be reapired by mid January
Club Andaman: open, damaged, still operational, all cottages need to be repaired, only 1 pool useable, the 2nd pool should be okay until mid January, garden will take some time to recover, beachfront restaurant closed until further notice. All other rooms and facilities are fully operational
Coconut Village: open, not affected
Coral Island Resort (He Island): just a few rooms are damaged, renovation will take about a week (status: 03 January)
Crown Nai Yang Suite: not seriously damaged
Deevana Patong: not affected, fully operational
Diamond Cottage Resort & Spa: NOT affected
Duangjitt Resort Phuket: has been affected but still operates in Building 1, 2 and Bungalows (in total 137 rooms), the resort is operational and is pleased to serve guests
Dusit Laguna: open, in general operational, but pool and 1 restaurant are damaged, repairs at 24 oceanfront ground floor rooms, 2 restaurants, activities center and kids club will take about 3-4 months, fully operational
Evason Phuket: operational, only the pier and dive shop have been damaged. Full service to Bon Island
Felix Karon: operational
Front Village Phuket: NOT affected
Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa: minor water damage, operating normally
Hyton Leelavadee: water damage, but operating normally
Icon Hotel Phuket: NOT affected
Jiva Resort Phuket: just minor damages that will be repaired these days, in general OK
JW Marriott Phuket: open, minor damage. The Beach Front Seafood restaurant sustained minimal damage and will be back in full service in early January. All other rooms and facilities were not affected, fully operational. The resort is operating under full power and is equipped with fresh water. F&B facilities are open and available to all guests. The JW Marriott Phuket were extremely helpful giving assistance to tourists in transit to the airport and to Help centers. Thank you!

Koh Yao Island Resort: open for business, repairs on 10 rooms continuing till end of January
Laguna Beach Resort: open, minor damage. 14 ground floor Deluxe seaview rooms were damaged and need to be repaired, all other rooms and facilities were not affected and fully operational
Leelawadee Phuket: some damages in the lobby, other floors are OK
Mangosteen Phuket: NOT affected
Marina Phuket: OK, only “On the Rocks” Restaurant damaged
Novotel Coralia Phuket: open, NOT affected
Orchidacea Resort Phuket: NOT affected
Paradise Koh Yao: not affected at all, NO damages

Pearl Village: open, minor damage, just some ground floor rooms need to be renovated, all other rooms and facilities were not affected and fully operational. Expect some works between hotel and beach where some restaurants and shops need to be repaired.
Phuket Island View: 20 bungalows without aircon, pool is closed, otherwise runs normally
Phuket Orchid: NOT affected
Residence Kalim Bay: some water damages, but is open
Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club: open, only minor damage
Beachrestaurant closed until further notice, all rooms and other facilities fully operational
Royal Paradise: water damage, but operating normally

Serene Resort Phuket: NOT affected, organize free snack-corner for in-house guests and outsiders
Sheraton Grande Laguna: open, only minor damage. 6 Ground Floor Ocean rooms and beach restaurant need to be repaired. All other rooms and facilities are fully operational.
South Sea Karon Resort: operational
Surin Beach Resort: NOT affected
Thara Patong: OK
The Bay Resort: operating normally
Trisara Resort Phuket: open, only minor damage, fully operational again
Tropical Garden Resort Phuket: NOT affected, organize free snack-corner for in-house guests and outsiders
Twinpalms Phuket: all systems except telephone and fax are OK. Temporary phone and fax number: +66 76 271 612
The Village Resort Phuket: NOT affected
Woraburi Phuket Resort&Spa: running full operations
Amari Coral Beach Resort Phuket: has been hit and sustained damage, hotel will be closed for renovation until 01 August
Banthai Beach: closed until further notice
Best Western Bang Tao Beach Resort: damaged, will be operational again on 1st February 2005
Burasari: damaged, will accept bookings from 10 January onwards (but: we recommend to make bookings from 20 January onwards, to be on the safe side)
Club Med: closed until further notice
Comfort Resort Patong: closed until further notice
Holiday Inn Phuket: closed, severly damaged (Main Wing will remain closed until at least June, Busakorn Wing is scheduled to re-open in April), Asian Trails/Kuoni office has been damaged. No electricity at the moment. Closed until further notice
Horizon Beach Resort Patong: damaged, closed until 20 January for renovation
Impiana Phuket Cabana: not re-open until October 05, severe damages
Kamala Bay Terrace Resort: closed until further notice, unable to operate, lobby and restaurants are damaged
Kamala Beach Resort: closed until 1st March 2005
Karon Beach Resort: closed for 2 ½ months for repairs, opening February/March 2005, severe damage to 24 ground floor rooms
Layan Beach Resort Phuket: rooms close to the beach are badly damaged
Meridien Phuket: closed until further notice, specialists are being flown in to assess the damage
Merlin Beach Resort: closed until further notice
Nai Yang Beach Resort: closed until further notice
Patong Beach Hotel: closed until further notice
Banana Restaurant / Lobby / Swimming Pool affected
Patong Merlin: closed until further notice, severly damaged, no re-opening date has been set, but expect at least 2-3 months to finish repair works.
Patong Resort: 100% damaged, closed until 01 April 2005
Phuket Golden Sand Inn: 50 bungalows damaged, electricity supply problems
Sabana Resort: closed, due to general clean up, re-open on 14/01/05
Seapearl: closed until further notice
Seaview Patong: 100% damaged, will be re-opened in July 2005

Hotels Status
KOH LANTA
Lanta Casuarina Beach Resort: open, not affected
Layana Resort & Spa: all guestrooms except 3 Beach Suites are restored and fully operational. The restaurant, bar and lounge are in business again, but need some temporary repairs to wooden decks. Around a third of the gardens have been affected by salt water and will have to be replaced, it will take several weeks before flowers, shrubs and lawns regain their previous good condition. At present, watersports equipment is not available and the resort diving centre os out of action, but alternative arrangements for diving with local operators can easily be made.
Pimalai Resort & Spa: 4 suites and 2 villas are damaged, but there are no building structure damages and renovation jobs will consist on replacing the front wooden terraces and replacing about all of the inside furniture and electrical equipment. Beach restaurant: no building strucure damages, they just have to redo the small outdoor dining salas abnd replace the equipment of the small satellite kitchen. All entire facilities at the resort are fully operational
Royal Lanta Resort: 25% damaged, swimming pool and part of the restaurant, they are still able to accommodate guests
Costa Lanta: damaged and closed until further notice
Twin Bay Resort Koh Lanta: 100% damaged, closed until the end of 2005

Hotels Status
PHI PHI ISLAND
Bay View Resort: the rooms are unaffected, but the lobby, office, restaurant, kitchen and generators are damaged. They plan to reopen with 38 rooms on 15 January, but don’t know yet when the complete restaurant will be restored.
Holiday Inn Resort: NOT affected
**Ferry: reduced number of sailings: Phuket Town-Holiday Inn Beach dep. 10.00h/arr. 12.00h

Phi Phi Island Village: still running their business as usual

Khao Lak Orchid Beach Resort: 18 beachfront villas, swimming pool, lobby, restaurant and gardens are totally damaged. A few rooms at the first floor at the hotel building are partially damaged. Closed until further notice.
Khao Lak Palm Beach: completely damaged and closed until further notice
Khao Lak Paradise: villas are gone..... closed until further notice
Khao Lak Resort: damaged (at least the lower floor)
Khao Lak Seaview: damaged
Khao Lak Sunset Beach Resort: Closed until further notice
Beach restaurant, swimming pool and rooms at the first floor of the building have been destroyed. Minor damages at main entrance, parking area, rooms at the new building and lobby. Electricity and water supply are not in order yet. Khao Lak Tropicana Beach Resort: closed until further notice, damaged
Khao Lak Wanaburee Resort: closed until further notice, damaged
La Flora: closed until further notice, damaged
Le Meridien Khao Lak: the lower part is gone, especially the villas. Closed until further notice

KOH RACHA
The Racha: considerable damage to the interior of the main building, four villas close to the beach have beebn completely destroyed and others sustained heavy damage, the front office building as well as the Spa and fitness have also been affected, they plan to re-open the resort during the first week of March
