New York, 19 August, 2016 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is proud to announce that Thailand will serve as the final destination in which the cast will travel to for NBC’s new comedy series “Better Late Than Never,” starring Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman. The series will premiere on 23 August at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC, with the Thailand finale airing on 13 September at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas) said, “We are very excited to serve as the final destination for this new show. The audience will see a very special side of Thailand with a behind the scenes view of one of our biggest cultural events Songkran, and many more surprises in both Chiang Mai and Phuket.”
Following the show’s theme of bucket list experiences, Thailand offers a plethora of adventure, natural wonders, and cultural attractions. In the North, activities available include river rafting, elephant trekking, visiting hill tribe villages and of course the Yi Peng Festival in November. When venturing in the South, you have island hopping, Muay Thai training, and experiencing the famous Songkran Festival in April.
Based on a popular Korean format, “Better Late Than Never” is a fish-out-of-water show that follows cultural icons Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman on their greatest adventure yet. Deciding it’s better late than never, these four national treasures embark on the journey of a lifetime, travelling across Asia on their own with no schedule and no itinerary. The only help will come from Jeff Dye, a young tech-savvy comedian with an agenda of his own and who isn’t above leading the men off track. Each stop is packed with hilarious cultural experiences, heartwarming spectacles and unexpected twists as our legends take on this unforgettable adventure.
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, Henry Winkler, Jason Ehrlich, Stephanie Chambers, Alex Katz and Tim Crescenti. “Better Late Than Never” is produced by Universal Television in association with Storyline Entertainment, Small World IFT and CJ E&M.
