Bangkok, 21 October, 2015 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) dominated the Thai advertising fraternity’s annual awards night on 7 October, 2015, picking up the top award as “The Advertiser of the Year” as well as 19 other award categories for five of its productions.
Organised by the Advertising Association of Thailand (AAT), the “Adman Awards 2015” are the country’s largest and most competitive industry event celebrating outstanding work in the marketing communications and creative fields.
The 2015 event was held at the Bangkok Convention Centre, Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The theme, ‘Prove Them Wrong’, was designed to highlight ads that go against the grain and challenge conventional wisdom.
The AAT’s Adman Awards and Symposium covers the complete spectrum of marketing communication activities including advertising, public relations, graphic design and strategies to help sell products as well as public service groups. The judging committee comprises of highly qualified industry professionals in Thailand and abroad.
TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn said, “We are proud to be doing some great work that continues to attract attention the world over. This year’s winners include humorous items and straight cultural presentations. It reflects the diversity that is required to appeal to different audiences, and we are happy to be recognised at the Adman Awards.”
The awards ceremony saw five TAT ad and promotional campaigns grabbing one Gold, 7 Silver and 11 Bronze awards, as well as being declared “The Advertiser of the Year”. The five TAT campaigns are as follows:
