Bangkok, 29 August, 2017 – CNN’s foremost international business correspondent, Richard Quest (left), today paid a courtesy visit to the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) Governor, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn (right), at the TAT Headquarters.
The courtesy visit is part of Mr. Quest’s schedule in Thailand this week to film an episode for his popular and top-rated ‘Business Traveller’ programme, which is expected to air on CNN sometime later this year.
During the special introductory meet and greet session, Richard also gained an insight into the TAT’s tourism marketing plan 2018, to be targeted over the 12-month period of the next fiscal year, beginning this October. TAT will change its marketing angle slightly with a new concept of “Open to the New Shades of Thailand” that will deepen the unique Thai local experience to a million shades of the Kingdom.
Mr. Yuthasak said that TAT’s marketing plan for next year has been designed to serve the purpose of enhancing the positioning of Thailand as a preferred destination.
“I wish to extend my sincere thanks to Richard and CNN for visiting Thailand. I hope he will enjoy a wonderful time in our country and discover the many unique Thai local experiences.”
