Bangkok, 04 August, 2017 – A delegation of top travel bloggers successfully completed a four-day media trip around Bangkok and Chon Buri province to support the launch of the Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 Campaign’s ‘Amazing Luxperience’ promotion this August.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Amazing Luxperience media familiarisation trip, held during 1-5 August, 2017, was hailed as a huge success by participants as it afforded them the chance to uncover many hidden secrets of why women travellers love Thailand.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “The 30-strong blogger delegation were treated to a unique media trip to Bangkok and Chon Buri province. It gave them the chance to experience first-hand the highlights and offers that attract an ever-increasing number of women travellers to Thailand each year. These included a fabulous array of activities, special deals, discounts and privileges currently available during the Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 Campaign from now until the end of August.
The Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 Campaign was recently launched at Nai Lert Park Heritage Home in Bangkok at a welcome reception to send women celebrities and travel bloggers from around the world on their way to discover the latest Thailand travel news and explore research opportunities for Thailand travel features, all under an objective of boosting female visitor arrivals to the Kingdom.
Under the Women’s Journey Thailand 2017 theme, seven categories of products and services are extended to attract women travellers: accommodation (hotels and resorts); health, beauty and spa services; shopping malls, dining and restaurants; recreation and entertainment; such as, theme parks; lifestyle activities; such as, handicraft workshops and fitness, and transportation services; such as, airlines and car rentals.
During the trip, bloggers have indulged in Thai cooking classes, enjoyed shopping experiences and innovative and traditional Thai spa treatments. They also have been feted with epicurean dining experiences at some of the 50 Best Restaurants in Asia, toured working tea plantations and factories to learn the secret of ‘Kombucha’ tea.
Another highlight was a visit to the Ocean Marina Yacht Club for a superyacht cruise through the breath-taking scenery in the Gulf of Thailand with snorkelling and swimming at Khram Yai and Khram Noi Islands.
The action packed itinerary also included decoupage workshops, a lecture on European architectural examples in Bangkok, exclusive private fashion shows by emerging top Thai fashion designers, and other cultural and educational opportunities.
“This gave bloggers significant direct experience necessary for providing readers with Thailand visitor info and other top travel tips not often found on mainstream tourism media,” Mr. Yuthasak concluded.
