The award-winning Laguna Phuket Marathon, the leading international marathon in Southeast Asia organised by Go Adventure, is scheduled to be held over two days from 9 to 10 June 2018 at the Laguna Phuket resort on Bang Tao Beach.
This year marks the event 13th edition, which the organiser expects to attract 8,000 runners from more than 50 countries worldwide.
The event offers five categories that will take place over two days. On the first day, 9 June, the races include a 10.5-km run, limited to 2,000 runners; a 5 km run, limited to 2,000 runners; a 2 km kids run, limited to 300 runners. The 10.5 km run starts at 17:00 Hrs. The 5 km run starts at 17:20 Hrs. The 2 km kids run starts at 16:00 Hrs.
On the final day, 10 June, the races are a 42.195 km marathon, limited to 2,000 runners; 21.091 km half marathon limited to 2,000 runners and a marathon team relay, limited to 80 teams (four members per team required). Both the marathon and the marathon team relay start at 04:30 Hrs. with the half marathon beginning at 05:30 Hrs.
The race route weaves its way through Phuket’s tropical forest, rubber and pineapple plantation, beautiful beaches, iconic local villages, scenic viewpoints and the magnificent Laguna Phuket.
