Bangkok, 06 September, 2018 – Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is celebrating eight years of providing unrivalled comfort and luxury to guests with a traditional Thai classical masked dance or “Khon” based upon Ramayana, scheduled on 27 September 2018 from 18.00 Hrs.
Hotel guests and visitors are invited to enjoy the remarkable “Khon” performance of an episode from Ramayana Epic by members of the Fine Arts Department, the Ministry of Culture.
“The hotel opened its door to guests for the first time on 27 September 2010 and this year we are delighted to be celebrating our eighth anniversary. It is another very important year for us. Thailand with its unique culture is incredible and amazing and, because of that, we want to portray Thailand and Thai culture through our celebrations,” said the hotel’s General Manager, Mr. Alex Pichel.

The traditional Thai classical masked dance and Thai classical music together symbolise the nobility and elegance of Thai culture in the olden days. The anniversary celebrations continue for eight days until 4 October 2018, at the hotel’s lobby, restaurants and spa. The daily festivities include live craftsmanship demonstrations in the lobby where guests and visitors will learn about Thai fruit carving, Thai hand garlands and the traditional lookchoop Thai dessert.
Nightly performances of “Khim,” a classical Thai stringed musical instrument take place in the lobby from 17.00 – 20.00 Hrs.
