Bangkok, 16 June, 2020 – Bangkok’s mass transit systems have resumed normal operations following the fourth phase for easing restrictions on businesses and activities, starting from 15 June.
All public transport systems nationwide are operating under strict measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), including temperature screening practices, wearing masks, check-ins and check-outs with the Thai Chana platform, and social distancing. Those on interprovincial travel are required to complete a travel form to allow health officials to track and trace in case a COVID-19 infection is reported.
BTS Skytrain
The Sukhumvit Line (Wat Phra Sri Mahathat – Kheha) resumes normal operating hours, from 05.15-24.00 Hrs., at 2.25-minute service intervals.
The Silom Line (National Stadium – Bang Wa) resumes normal operating hours, from 05.30-24.00 Hrs., at 3.45-minute service intervals.
The free parking space at BTS Mo Chit Station is open from 05.00-01.00 Hrs.

MRT Bangkok Metro
The MRT Blue Line (Hua Lamphong – Bang Sue and extensions) resumes normal operating hours from 06.00-24.00 Hrs.
The MRT Purple Line (Khlong Bang Phai – Tao Poon) resumes normal operating hours from 05.30-24.00 Hrs.
All 13 parking spaces are open from 05.00-01.00 Hrs.

Airport Rail Link
Resumption of normal operating hours, Phya Thai – Suvarnabhumi, from 05.30-24.00 Hrs. and increase rush-hour services with 24 extra trains per day, Monday-Friday.

BMTA (Bangkok’s public bus services)
Resumption of normal operations deploying 100% of the fleet – 3,000 buses at 25,000 services per day.

State Railway of Thailand (SRT)
SRT resumes 108 interprovincial train services nationwide from 11 June. It is currently operating a total of 169 trains (return), which include 11 long-distance trains; 152 intercity, regular and local trains; and six special trains.

The Transport Co., Ltd. (Interprovincial bus services)
Interprovincial bus services to the South resumes on 9 June while some services to the North, Northeast and East have already resumed as of 18 May.
From 15 June, 2020, onwards, The Transport Co., Ltd. will add eight more routes to the North bringing the total to 15 routes. It operates 22 routes to the Northeast while all services to the South have resumed.
