Bangkok, 30 September, 2020 – The Royal Thai Government has approved the extension of the Emergency Decree nationwide for another month for the sixth time, from 1-31 October, 2020.
According to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), imposing another month of the state of emergency will allow the authorities to effectively control and prevent the spread of COVID-19. This is especially as Thailand is in the process of gradually opening up the country, including the plan to grant a special tourist visa (STV) aimed at long-staying visitors.
