Bangkok, 9 February, 2015 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is lending its support to the cooperation agreement between the Airports of Thailand (AOT) and New Kansai International Airport Company Limited (NKIAC) on tourist destinations and traveller information exchange.
The agreement, initiated with the objective of facilitating Thai and Japanese tourists travelling between Thailand and Japan, will see AOT promoting tourist attractions of Japan’s Kansai region at Don Mueang, Phuket and Chiang Mai International Airports. Likewise, NKIAC, which operates Kansai and Osaka International Airports, will promote Thai attractions to Japanese travellers.
Mr. Sugree Sithivanich, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of TAT said, “TAT is lending support to AOT by providing relevant promotional materials of Thai tourist destinations and activities, including our 2015 Discover Thainess video presentation. We hope this cooperation will help attract the interest of Japanese travellers, who want to experience the many unique aspects of Thainess; such as, Thai boxing, dancing, cooking and the Thai way of life while holidaying in Thailand.”
