International tennis stars Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic pay respect at the Erawan Shrine

Bangkok, 2 October, 2015 – International tennis stars, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic who are currently in Bangkok for a much anticipated exhibition at the Indoor Stadium Hua Mark Indoor, paid their respect at the Erawan Shrine in Ratchaprasong area prior to the game.

During their stay in Thailand, Djokovic and Nadal helped to promote Thailand’s tourist credentials by signing a recovery message to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Grand Palace, visiting the Prime Minister’s Office and shopping for Thai traditional handicraft and products.

Thai tennis fans attended the exciting match between nine times French open champion and former world number one, Nadal, and the current world number one, Djokovic. The “Back to Thailand Nadal vs Djokovic” match took place on 2 October, 2015 at 19.00 hrs. The event was broadcast live on True Vision’s True4U (Channel 4 on True Vision, Channel 34 on satellite, and Channel 34 on cable).

Thai Prime Minister General Prauyut Chan-o-cha welcomed Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic during their visit to the Prime Minister’s Office.
