Bangkok, 30 April, 2018 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has invited leading travel agents from around the world to experience some of the best Thailand has to offer when it comes to luxury travel, in the Amazing Thailand Luxury Trade Meet & Fam Trip 2018,which is taking place in late April-early May.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said: “ TAT has invited 35 agents from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Americas, Asia and Oceania to experience firsthand some of Thailand’s finest luxury travel products and services, both in major and secondary destinations.”
Participating in the ‘Thailand Luxury Trade Meet 2018’ are 12 agents from East Asia, nine agents from ASEAN, South Asia and the South Pacific, 10 agents from Europe, Africa and the Middle East and four agents from the Americas.
All the participating travel agents attended the ‘Amazing Thailand Luxury Trade Meet 2018’ in Bangkok on 30 April, to meet face to face and discuss business with luxury hotels and resorts, spas, travel agents, cooking academies, airlines and other suppliers – numbering 35 in total – from Thailand.


The agents also joined three fantastic tour programmes in different regions of Thailand that have been created for them, focusing on luxury experiences and accommodation in the categories of gastronomy, arts and crafts, nature and beaches, culture and way of life.
Mr. Yuthasak said: “The trips highlight the many different ways tourists can see Thailand, whether through new perspectives on existing attractions or through activities in altogether new attractions, in line with the Amazing Thailand’s ‘Open to the New Shades’ concept of TAT.”
The Amazing Thailand’s Luxury Escape to the South (Trang-Krabi-Bangkok) programme, from 25 – 29 April, featured stays at luxury resorts, with mangrove forest rafting, yachting on the Andaman Sea and island hopping.
The Amazing Thailand’s Island Hopping in the East (Trat-Bangkok) programme, from 25 April – 1 May, included accommodation in upscale resorts in combination with such luxury experiences as spa treatment, cooking class, star gazing and yachting around the Ko Chang Archipelago.
The Amazing Thailand’s Lanna Luxury: Uncover Natural & Cultural Charms (Chiang Rai) programme, from 2 – 6 May, highlighted luxury accommodation and experiential visits to the Ancient City of Chiang Saen, an elephant camp for mahout training, the Hall of Opium, Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park and Cherntawan International Meditation Centre.
