On 28 August, 2018, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) met with Mr. Liu Qi, Director General, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, at Chongqing, the People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Yuthasak and Mr. Qi discussed cooperation on two-way tourism promotion to encourage more travel by the people of Chongqing to Thailand and vice versa.
The meeting followed the 6 August visit by Mr. Qu Qian, Vice Mayor of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and officials from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development at the TAT Head Office. (TAT Governor meets Chongqing Municipal Vice Mayor)
The Chongqing population is over 33 million with GDP of 1.95 million Yuan ranked the 5th of the country.
