Bangkok, 16 February, 2020 – Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Minister Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, attended the “Ultra Trail Thailand 2020” at Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai yesterday (15 February, 2020). He was joined by Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand.
Mr. Phiphat thanked the medical team and the sports scientists for their support to ensure that the event run smoothly. He also quoted representatives from the organiser – UTMB (Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc) as congratulating Thailand for organising a successful event, earning the country a UTMB’s member status and the 6th race location.
The Minister also expressed his appreciation to the relevant public and private sectors for their integrated efforts to organising a successful event.
The hosting of the Ultra Trail Thailand 2020 as scheduled reiterated the normalcy tourism situation in Thailand. Elsewhere in the country, tourism and travel activities go on as usual.
