Bangkok, 04 September, 2020 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is participating in the 56th Thai Thiao Thai (Thais Visit Thailand), which is open to the public on 3 – 6 September, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bang Na.
At the TAT Pavilion (Zone EH 103-104), tourism operators from five regions are showcasing their products and services along with special promotions and activities. Visitors can also avail of X2 deals, get souvenirs when buying selected travel packages, and up to 10% cash back when spending through the SHOP BACK application.
This year’s event has taken on special importance with the aim to promote domestic tourism and encourage everyone to experience around Thailand. Furthermore, travelling with safety and hygiene routines are promoted to curb the COVID-19 infection.
More than 650 travel enterprises, mainly small andmedium sized enterprises, from hotels to theme parks, attractions and spas are exhibiting at the event.
The largest number of exhibitors are from Bangkok (44), followed by Chon Buri (34), Prachuap Khiri Khan (25), Phuket (23), Chiang Mai (15), Nakhon Ratchasima (13), Surat Thani (11), Krabi and Phetchaburi (10 each), Trat (9), Ratchaburi and Nan (6 each), Chanthaburi, Rayong and Satun (5 each), Kanchanaburi and Chiang Rai (4 each), Pathum Thani, Phang Nga, Phetchabun and Ranong (2 each) and Tak, Prachin Buri, Mae Hong Son, Loei, Saraburi and Ayutthaya (1 each).
By category, the largest number of exhibitors are hotels and resorts (23) followed by tour operators (18), theme parks (14), car rental companies (8), restaurants, food shops and tourist boats (7), spas, health and beauty centres (4), airline (1), dive shop (1), and others (25). There are also 44 stalls selling food and beverages.
All participants are required to observe the preventive antivirus measures:
• Scan the QR Code with the Thai Chana application.
• Wash hands with disinfectant alcohol gel in front of the entrance-exit of the event.
• Always wear a mask.
• Check the temperature before entering the event.
• Keep distancing 2 metres between people.
