Heard It All About Thailand
I’ve heard about Thailand.

I’ve heard about the food, nature, the floating markets, the temples. I've even had a friend visit for a Muay Thai retreat.

I’ve heard it all, but I haven’t seen it for myself.

Which is exactly why I am submitting my entry - I’ve never been to Thailand.

I’ve seen the great Pyramids in Egypt, I’ve been on safari in South Africa, I’ve soaked in healing thermal waters in Budapest, I’ve marveled at the Grand Canyon in the United States, I’ve watched the Northern Lights from the tip of Norway, I’ve done yoga by the beach in Sri Lanka. Still, Thailand has not yet been ticked off the list of places I want to see.

I would love to visit so that I can experience what it has to offer, what I’ve heard so much about, and be able to share it with my audience on The Katie Show Blog. A place where I share extraordinary travel experiences for ordinary people, just like me. I want to create content to encourage others to visit, and perhaps not wait as long as I did. I want to share the beauty of Thailand with others, the way it has been shared with me by friends who have visited.

East Meets East: Bangkok's Chinatown

Very quickly, Bangkok can overwhelm the senses. Most people land in the city and it’s their first foray into Thailand – far removed from the turquoise beaches in the south or jungle environments up north. And Chinatown is no exception.

Head Over Heals for the Tropical Fruits of Thailand

I felt so in love with the tropical fruits of Thailand and their health properties that I got a durian tattoo on the way out. I am passionate to let others discover a wonderful world of flavours, textures and colours behind the bounty of Thai fruits.

Heading Home

There’s no place like home. Just like this little Thai boy I captured in this Koh Khood fishing village, this travel writer is heading home.
