A Filipino blogger delighted at Eat Sight Story
I was one of the 6 bloggers who won the TAT Newsroom Blogger Campaign in 2016. The competition gave me the chance to experience various places in Thailand.
Being the lone Filipino in the group, I was very excited to meet other bloggers and the organisers.

Our first meeting and the reception for the participants was held at Eight Sight Story. The place was not really that inviting from the outside. I was even a bit confused as the location doesn’t show any signs of any great restaurant. But I was surprised the moment I get inside…

Eat Sight Story is located along the Chao Phraya River across from Wat Arun in Bangkok. Not exactly seen in plain sight, hidden in an alleyway, this Asian mixed with European cuisine themed restaurant assures that all their guests would Eat fine and delicious food, see the beautiful Sight of the Temple of Dawn, and know the Story of the Rua Daeng (red-coloured boat).

The history of this restaurant is that the pier where it is situated used to be a pier for transporting goods.

Established in the early 1900’s, the pier was filled with red-colored boats. It was a busy and lively area at that time.

Although through the years, as major road constructions were built in Bangkok, the hustle and bustle of the pier slowly died down. But now, it is making its comeback once again because of Eat Sight Story.

But other than its unique name and history, there are other reasons why this restaurant is becoming popular amongst tourists and locals alike.

Upon entering the restaurant you would already notice the walls that are decorated with wonderfully crafted wooden doors. The whole interior design of the restaurant also shouts a fusion of European-Asian feel. Combining the ancient and vintage look of both continents using old ornaments and patterns found in different parts of Asia and Europe.

Its décor is just one of the things that you would love about this place. The food they serve will definitely make you come back for more. They offer and serve different kinds of fusion meals that are a must try.

Must Try Dishes

• Pizza kraprao moo – Thin crust pizza that is topped with spicy stir-fried pork, mozzarella cheese and basil. Probably you’re thinking, mozzarella cheese and spicy pork, no way! But once you try it, you will say “Yes, way!” This pizza is perfect for sharing, whether you’re with your family or friends.

• Nuea kraprao krob –Beef tenderloin that has been stir-fried with some basil and pepper. If you’re looking for something hearty, this is the meal to go.

• Pla salmon – Salmon that is deep-fried with squeezed lime, dash of chili and nam pla sauce. This is the perfect seafood dish to try here. A meal that would make you feel full without making your stomach feel heavy.

Eat Sight Story is the perfect place to go to if you’re looking for a place to eat with your friends or family. Eat good food while enjoying the beautiful view of the sunset. Watch the boats as they pass by and be in awe of the temple night lights. And for those planning to travel to Bangkok, this is a place you wouldn’t want to miss.

Eat Sight Story is the perfect combination of taste, scenery, and history and ths Filipino Blogger was definitely delighted
