On 8 July, 2018, H.E. Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports, chaired meetings with the concerned authorities and stakeholders on the assistance measures for the affected tourists.
The Minister discussed the assistance measures for the affected tourists and their families.
The Minister paid a visit to Vachira Phuket Hospital where the majority of the injured are being treated.
He also met with families and relatives of the affected tourists to extend his personal sympathies and reassure that everything possible is being done to assist all affected.
